Ceramics collected from my roots.
The word “kift” is a term used by the people of Pembrokeshire. It describes something as being awkward, clumsy or left-handed. Despite it not being seen as a positive term, and in that I was called it throughout my childhood, I now feel a warmth towards it. When picking up clay, I was far from a natural, and once again this word stood as a true reflection of me, so it only seemed fitting to keep this word tied with my identity.
